Job Summary:
The Compensation Project Manager will oversee an initiative to refresh job descriptions in collaboration with the internal Compensation team, HR Partners and business leaders. This role will play a key role in ensuring job descriptions accurately reflect job duties, requirements, and align with compensation programs and company policies. This role is a blend of both project management and hands-on execution, with responsibility for both overseeing projects and actively contributing to the work being done.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the project lifecycle of creating and updating job descriptions, working closely with stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy.
- Outline and execute project plans to review all existing job descriptions, including implementing a plan for sustainable, long-term maintenance.
- Lead the development of new and revised job descriptions, ensuring alignment with company standards, compensation programs, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to review and revise job descriptions as needed to reflect changing roles and responsibilities.
- Conduct job analysis to determine job duties, requirements, and qualifications for new positions within the organization.
- Assist in the Korn Ferry evaluation and classification of jobs to ensure internal equity and compliance with compensation policies.
- Work closely with internal Compensation team to align job descriptions with compensation structures.
- Provide guidance on best practices for writing job descriptions and job documentation to support effective talent management and compensation decisions.
- Support the implementation of job family structures and related policies through effective project management and communication.
- Analyze market trends and data to inform the creation of new job descriptions and ensure competitiveness in the talent market.
- Utilize innovative technology to improve the efficiency of job description management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience required
- Experience leading job description update projects
- Experience with Korn Ferry job evaluation methodology
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to influence senior level leadership
- Intermediate knowledge of project management skills and multi-tasking ability (prioritizing, organizing, scheduling)
- Basic knowledge of engineering industry-type jobs
- Intermediate knowledge of Company compensation programs
- Intermediate knowledge of Base Pay fundamentals, including job documentation and evaluation
- Intermediate problem-solving skills (Identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve)
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Intermediate knowledge of US FLSA overtime regulations
- Basic Microsoft Word skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $42.51/hour - $56.69/hour
