Candidate must be located within 50 miles of a Burlington, MA for a hybrid schedule.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- May manage multiple projects of differing solution types.
- Serves as subject matter expert for related scope of work, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Manage the schedule and deliverables in accordance with project objectives, ensuring that the land services team completes tasks on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project plans and schedules, identifying critical path activities and potential delays.
- Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and/or Client, providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for land services projects.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, participating in training and development initiatives and sharing knowledge with team members.
- Responsible for complex land entitlement negotiations or acquiring complex jurisdictional approvals.
- Identifies and mitigates project risks and issues and proactively works with project leadership to resolve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the State and local municipalities – including MassDOT (Massachusetts Department of Transportation), MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority), DPW (Department of Public Works), Boston Water and Sewer Commission, DCR (Department of Conservation and Recreation), local public works departments, Boston Water & Sewer Commission, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, submit complex permitting applications, manage project permits as they progress through the review process, answer questions received from permitting stakeholders and communicate any project revisions to engineering leads, attend and represent project teams and clients at pre-application meetings, public hearings, community meetings and other public engagements, document and communicate any permitting conditions of approval to project teams, clients and construction contractors, support construction contractors as needed, work with construction contractors and jurisdictions to ensure all post construction permit requirements have been met and permits are closed.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently on complex scopes of work, as well as the ability to lead and manage others in a team environment.
- Possesses excellent oral and written communications skills and has excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, TEAMs, Outlook, Internal and External Project Databases and GIS programs (as applicable) with ability to utilize these tools to generate and analyze data.
- Either 4-year degree, or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 7 years industry experience; 2 years project lead experience.
- Experience in permitting, zoning and/or other construction and land entitlements.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $43.34/hour - $57.79/hour
